ECDL/ICDL has many programs.

ICDL Canada delivers a spectrum of computer use skills certification covering all levels of competence from the beginner to the advanced user.

These include e-Citizen for fundamental skills related to inclusion and the first levels of participation in the information society.

The ICDL Core modules represent the definition of what one really needs to know and be able to do with computers to be considered competent in the workplace or for higher education. The ICDL Core Certification is the worldwide standard most recognized for employment and by colleges and universities.  A Start Certificate is available for those who may pursue only four Core modules as a step along the way to full ICDL Core Certification.

Beyond the ICDL Core standard there are the four ICDL Advanced Modules, or ICDL Expert if you complete all four.
