CIPS National HQ Staff seek ICDL Certificate

ICDL helps people efficiently attain the personal productivity they seek. A good example is Gina van Dalen who rounded out her already well developed skills to complete the seven modules of the ICDL CORE Certification.
Gina plans to broaden her use of Access as a result. She is seen here receiving her ICDL CORE Certificate, Wallet Card and ICDL pin from John Renahan, Manager Operations at ICDL Canada.
Who knows, the next step she may want to take will be to get her ICDL ADVANCED certification for Access. Gina is may even be the sort of user who would do all four Advanced ICDL Modules (Word-processing, Spreadsheets, Database and Presentations). Although each Advanced Module receives its own certificate recognition, those that do all four get an extra recognition in the form of the ICDL EXPERT Certificate.
ICDL provides users at all levels a chance to credentialize their achievements. The newest certification in the ICDL family is e-Citizen, a three module (one test) standard designed to prove ones ability to participate as a computer user in the information society. Many recipients of e-Citizen will subsequently want to get the workplace standard attained through ICDL CORE. e-Citizen is thus a good stepping stone for people wishing to start improving their personal digital literacy skills. For many ICDL cetification is a way of starting to re-label yourself in an increasingly competitive and changing world.
