Every ICDL candidate has access to his or her own on-line testing account.

All test results and certification status progress are visible on-line.  To see specific test details simply click on a test title. Test results can be sorted by column (e.g. module or score) and printed.

Another feature of the Personal Testing Account is that is allows a candidate to do diagnostic tests on his/her own wherever a connection with a suitable browser can be made. Results of diagnostic tests can be viewed with details -- questions answered incorrectly are displayed along with the correct answer. Diagnostic tests can be purchased from your Authorized Testing Location or through the Custom Testing Program. They are typically half the price of a Certification Test.
 
Certification tests are also shown in the Personal Testing Account with results summarized by syllabus section. This helps candidates focus extra effort, if needed, to attain the ICDL computer use skill standard of 75%. Certification tests are completed with an ICDL Certified Tester present in an Authorized Test Centre. Many candidates prefer to further improve their personal productivity skills and use Certification Test results as their guide to enhance their weakest areas even after they have passed the test.
 
Individuals can maintain their account as they work through several certifications. The Personal Testing Account shows their record of computer use skills attainment for e-Citizen, ICDL Start, ICDL Core, ICDL Advanced and ICDL Expert regardless of what level the candidate started at.
